The Data Science for the Public Good Program offers a summer internship for undergraduates and graduate students.
2022 Summer Internship
Undergraduate Internship Details
- Location: Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia.
- Stipend: Undergraduate interns will be paid a stipend of $5,000.
- Housing: The program will provide on-campus accommodation for undergraduate interns, if needed.
- Travel: We can provide limited travel support based on financial need if you are coming from outside the Blacksburg area.
- Tentative Program Dates:
Undergraduate interns: June 1 – August 6, 2022 - Work Expectations: Full-time internship position

Graduate Fellowship Details
Applications are now closed for graduate student fellows for the Summer 2022 program
- Location: Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia.
- Stipend: Graduate stipends will be paid at the VT summer rate.
- Tentative Program Dates:
Graduate fellows: May 23 – August 5, 2022 - For more details about the Young Scholars Program
- Work Expectations: Full-time internship position
- Graduate students will work and mentor the undergraduate interns in their projects
